SERENDIPITY - Next Project in the Works

Finally got it all together and the quilting has begun. Have the trees, animals and some of the grassy areas quilted along with the little flowers. Still plenty to do - sky, water, fish and the little details. Thinking I will also add my fav embellishment of glitter and beads as I work through this.

CELETSIAL JOURNEYS

I have been working on this one for a while and she will hang in my special little room. Some designs are Urban Threads, and others from a Brother package I purchased a while back. Zodiac signs were done in silver metallic thread. This one reminds me of all the journeys we make thru space and time. Father time centers the hanging just above the earth. The moons which travel thru the signs - are glittered with translucent glitter which just makes them shine as she hangs. The aurora borealis - the lights - are also done in metallic threads - 6 different colors and splashes of glitter then done in the background. Quilting was all free motion.

UFO'S OFF MY LIST

After a long time I finally got the Butterfly and Rooster SWAP quilts completed. They were fun to do.

WORKS IN PROGRES

I have been part of a quilt swap for a while now with American Quilters when we travel to the USA.  Finally starting to get some done.  This quilt is made from the butterfly swap we did a few years back and finally almost done.  Now just to add the binding and label.  binding should be eye catching to give it a pop - thinking hot pink......  the quilt is quilted and will post in the next pic.

SHE's all quilted now.....................ready for the hot pink binding

BENNYJO DESIGNS

BennyJo Designs

Decided on a new name to reflect the variety of things I do and not lump myself into one category - love to quilt, embroider, sew, art glitter and embellish along with my astrology hobbies - I needed something with just a bit more zing.  BennyJo Designs it is - to reflect the loves of my life along with my hobbies. All Glittered Up!

Decided to name this baby today - Butterfly in my Garden  - an appropriate name considering that's what it looks like.  It was such a pretty piece of embroidery - and then I decided to Glitter it - and I LOVE how it turned out - although the photos don't do it justice - it's a very pretty piece of 3D quilting, embroidery, glitter in my world.......I have a few places for it to hang - but it's still drying and this is the end result and my husband loved it too - his first comment was - wow - 3D........I LOVE it and this one is mine!

All Glittered Up and totally free motion embroidered

Woodsy embellished background and hanging!

Insatiable need to create............

Had a few projects just waiting and today I had this urge to create something artsy.....no rules, just create....ad here's what I came up with - It is still a work in progress.  The first photo is the beginning......

It all began with the embroidered butterfly - a symbol of hope - and I then surrounded it with fussy cut flowers to reflect a garden....
I decided to free motion the flowers in layers.........and 3 bobbins and a few hours later - this is what it became:

I'm kind of liking how it turned out so far..........still to come is the embellishment of the butterfly with paint or glitter - will have to think on that one and call it a successful day!
